How exact age is calculated
The calculator counts full years first, then full months, then the remaining days, using real calendar month lengths. If your birthday has not happened yet this year, the year count drops by one and the months and days fill the gap. Because it uses actual calendar dates, leap years and February 29 birthdays are handled correctly.
Total days lived is the straight day count between the two dates. Total months divides that by 30.436875, the average month length including leap years, so treat it as an approximation.

How is exact age in years, months and days calculated?
Full years are counted first, then full months, then remaining days, using real calendar month lengths. If your birthday has not happened yet this year, the year count drops by one and the months and days fill the gap, which is why the math needs the actual calendar.
Does the age calculator handle leap years?
Yes. All math uses real calendar dates, so February 29 birthdays and leap days in your lifetime are counted correctly in both the exact age and the total days lived.
How are zodiac signs determined?
The calculator uses the tropical zodiac date ranges, for example Aries runs March 21 to April 19 and Capricorn runs December 22 to January 19. It is shown for fun, not as an astrological claim.
Why is the total months figure approximate?
Months are not all the same length, so there is no exact whole number of months in a given day count. The figure divides total days by 30.436875, the average month length including leap years, and rounds down.
