How it works

Upload any image (square works best). The tool center-crops it and renders crisp PNG favicons at 16, 32, 48 and 180 pixels, builds a real multi-size favicon.ico file containing 16/32/48, and gives you the HTML snippet to paste into your page's head. Every download button saves that exact file to your device.

Which files do I actually need

favicon.ico covers classic browsers and tabs. The 32px PNG is the modern standard, and the 180px PNG is the Apple touch icon for iOS home screens. Upload those three to your site root (or anywhere, updating the paths) and paste the snippet.

What image should I upload?
A square logo or simple icon at 512px or larger. Simple shapes read best at tiny 16px sizes; detailed photos become unrecognizable.
What is inside the favicon.ico?
Three PNG images at 16, 32 and 48 pixels packed into one real ICO file, so browsers can pick the right size.
Where do I put these files?
Upload them to your website (the root folder is conventional) and paste the HTML snippet into the <head> of your pages, adjusting paths if needed.
Do I need the Apple touch icon?
Only if you want a nice icon when visitors save your site to their iPhone home screen. Otherwise the ICO and 32px PNG are enough.
Is my logo uploaded anywhere?
