What makes a good invoice

Number every invoice. Sequential numbers (INV-0001, INV-0002) make bookkeeping and follow-ups painless for both sides.

Set a clear due date. "Due in 14 days" beats "due soon". Late-payment terms in the notes field protect you if a client drags.

Itemize the work. One line per deliverable with quantities and rates removes the most common reason invoices get questioned.
