How SKUs are built

Each SKU combines your base code with a 3-letter color code and the size, joined by your chosen separator: TSH-BLK-M. Every color is crossed with every size, so 3 colors and 4 sizes produce all 12 variants automatically, each unique and sortable.

Why consistent SKUs matter

SKU Generator FAQs

How are color codes made?
The first three letters of the color name, uppercased: Black becomes BLK, Navy becomes NAV. Keep color names distinct in their first three letters to avoid collisions.
Can I make SKUs without colors or sizes?
Yes. Leave either box empty and that attribute is skipped, so a base code alone generates a single SKU per product.
What if two variants get the same SKU?
That happens when two colors share the same 3-letter code. Rename one color (for example Black and Blush) so their codes differ.
How many SKUs can it generate?
There is no hard cap, but the combinations multiply fast: 10 colors times 10 sizes is 100 SKUs. Very large sets are fine to copy but review them for duplicates.
Can I import these into Shopify or Shopee?
Yes. The one-per-line list pastes directly into spreadsheet columns, which is how most marketplace bulk-upload templates expect SKUs.
