CPA usually means the cost of one conversion from a specific campaign, while CAC (customer acquisition cost) covers all marketing and sales spend per new customer. CPA is the campaign metric; CAC is the business metric.
Your break-even CPA equals the gross profit per new customer. If each customer brings $60 of margin, any CPA under $60 keeps acquisition profitable. For repeat buyers, compare CPA against lifetime value instead.
