How the resizer works

Your image is drawn onto a canvas at the exact pixel size each platform recommends, then exported as a high-quality JPEG you can download. Everything happens locally, so originals stay private.

Fill mode crops the edges to fill the frame with no borders; Fit mode letterboxes the whole image onto a white background with nothing cropped.

Choosing the right preset

Square 1080 for feed posts, 1080 by 1920 for stories and reels, 1280 by 720 for YouTube thumbnails. Using the recommended size avoids the platform recompressing or awkwardly cropping your upload.

For text-heavy graphics, keep important text away from the edges, since some apps crop a few pixels on display.

Social Image Resizer FAQs

Which mode should I choose, fill or fit?
Fill crops to the exact ratio with no borders, best for photos. Fit keeps the whole image and adds white bars, best when nothing may be cropped.
Will resizing reduce quality?
Downsizing is safe. Upscaling a small image to a large preset softens it, so start from the highest-resolution original you have.
What format is the download?
JPEG at 92% quality, the best balance of sharpness and file size for social uploads. Transparency is flattened onto white in Fit mode.
Are these the current recommended sizes?
Sizes follow the widely published platform recommendations. Platforms tweak them occasionally; the presets here cover the standard, stable sizes.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Resizing runs entirely in your browser.
