Simple To-Do List

A simple to-do list that is free forever. Add tasks, check them off, and clear the done ones. Your list is saved in your browser, so it is still there tomorrow.

My tasks

Type a task and press Add. Your list saves automatically.

How your list is stored

Tasks are saved in your browser local storage, the same place sites keep preferences. Close the tab, restart the browser, come back tomorrow: your list is still here, with completed items remembered.

No account exists, so there is nothing to sign into and nothing to sync. The tradeoff is that tasks live on this device and browser only.

Keeping it useful

The list is intentionally minimal: add, check off, delete, and clear completed in one sweep. The counter shows how many tasks are still open so you can see the day at a glance.

For bigger planning, keep one list per purpose by bookmarking the page with different task sets, or pair it with a notes app for details.

Simple To-Do List FAQs

Where are my tasks saved?
In your browser local storage on this device. They persist across visits but do not sync to your phone or other browsers.
Can I recover deleted tasks?
No. Deleting is permanent and there is no trash or undo, so delete carefully.
Is there a limit on tasks?
No hard limit. Hundreds of tasks work fine; local storage holds several megabytes, far more than a task list needs.
Do I need an account?
No. The list works immediately with no sign-up, no email and no tracking.
Will clearing browser data delete my list?
Yes. Clearing site data or local storage removes the tasks, since that is where they live.
