How it works

Set a minimum and maximum, then choose how many numbers to draw. Each value in the range has an equal chance of being picked, using the browser's secure random source. Turn on No duplicates to guarantee every result is unique, like drawing names from a hat.

Handy presets

  • Die roll: min 1, max 6, count 1.
  • Coin flip: min 1, max 2, count 1 (1 = heads, 2 = tails).
  • Lottery-style: min 1, max 49, count 6, no duplicates.
  • Giveaway draw: ticket numbers as the range, no duplicates on.

Random number generator FAQs

How random are the numbers?
Numbers come from the browser's cryptographic random source, crypto.getRandomValues, the same source used for security features. Each value in the range has an equal chance of being picked, with no modulo bias.
What does no duplicates do?
It guarantees every number in the result is unique, like drawing names from a hat. The count is capped at the size of the range, since you cannot pick more unique numbers than exist.
Can I use it for dice, coin flips or giveaways?
Yes. Min 1 and max 6 simulates a die, min 1 max 2 simulates a coin, and a range of ticket numbers with no duplicates works for fair draws.
Can I use it for lotteries or gambling?
It is fine for casual draws and games, but it is not certified for regulated gambling or official lotteries, which require audited random number hardware.
Are my numbers sent anywhere?
No. Generation happens in your browser and the results stay on the page. Nothing is uploaded or logged.
