How page extraction works

Select a PDF and type the pages you want, using ranges like 1-3, 5, 8-10. The tool reads your file with the pdf-lib library directly in your browser, copies only the pages you listed into a brand-new PDF, and gives you a download link. The original file is never modified and nothing is uploaded to any server.

What you can do with extracted pages

Extraction is handy for pulling a single chapter out of an ebook, saving just the signed page of a contract, or splitting a scanned batch into individual documents. Page order follows the numbers you type, so 5, 1-2 produces a new PDF with page 5 first.

PDF Page Extractor FAQs

What page-range formats can I type?
Single pages (5), ranges (1-3), and comma combinations (1-3, 5, 8-10). Pages are numbered from 1, duplicates are removed, and ranges are reordered numerically in the output.
Is there a limit on PDF size?
Only your device's memory. Most PDFs under a few hundred megabytes extract fine; very large scanned documents may take longer because everything is processed locally.
Can I extract pages from a password-protected PDF?
No. Encrypted PDFs cannot be opened by the browser library, so remove the password in a desktop reader first, then extract the pages here.
Does extraction change the original file?
Never. Your original PDF stays untouched on your device. The tool builds a completely new PDF containing only the pages you selected.
Will links and form fields survive extraction?
Page content, text and images are preserved. Interactive form fields and some annotations may be flattened, which is normal for page-level PDF operations.
