Each room type contributes a tested average of small, medium, large and XL boxes, multiplied by how many of that room you have. Kitchens skew small (heavy items go in small boxes), garages skew large. Fragile items add extra small boxes for safe packing.
Small (~1.5 cu ft) for books and heavy items, medium (~3 cu ft) for general goods, large (~4.5 cu ft) for light bulky things like linens, XL for pillows and duvets. Never overfill large boxes with heavy items.
