How tracking builds habits

The tracker shows your last seven days as a checkable grid. Each tap marks a habit done for that day, and the streak counter shows how many consecutive days you have kept it up. Psychologists call the motivation behind this loss aversion: once a streak exists, you protect it, and protecting it is the habit.

Your data stays yours

Habits are personal, so everything is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. There is no account, no sync and no server copy: clearing your browser data is the only way it disappears.

Habit Tracker FAQs

Where is my habit data stored?
In your browser's local storage on this device. It persists between visits but is not synced to other devices and never leaves your machine.
How is the streak calculated?
It counts consecutive completed days ending today (or yesterday, so a missed today does not instantly zero a long streak while the day is still young).
Can I mark a past day as done?
Yes. The grid shows the last 7 days and you can toggle any of them, so forgetting to check in last night is fixable.
How many habits can I track?
As many as you like, though research suggests starting with two or three small ones beats a long list you abandon in a week.
Do I need an account?
No. The tracker works immediately with no sign-up, and your data stays private on your device.
