Three glitch ingredients

RGB shift offsets the red channel right and the blue channel left, creating chromatic aberration fringes. Slice displacement cuts random horizontal bands and slides them sideways like a corrupted video frame. Scanlines darken every fourth row for a CRT monitor feel.

Randomized, not canned

Slice positions and offsets use a seeded random generator, so every shuffle produces a genuinely different glitch. When you find one you like, download it immediately, the same seed cannot be typed back in.

Glitch Art Effect FAQs

What is glitch art?
A digital art style that imitates corrupted data: shifted color channels, displaced image slices, and scanline artifacts, popular in vaporwave and cyberpunk aesthetics.
Can I get the same glitch twice?
Each shuffle uses a new random seed, so variations are unique. Download any version you like before shuffling again.
Why is the preview smaller than my photo?
Pixel-level glitch math is heavy, so the preview is capped at 900 px for smooth sliders. The download uses the preview at full preview resolution.
What are the colored edges around objects?
That is chromatic aberration from the RGB shift: the red and blue channels are offset horizontally, mimicking a faulty lens or signal.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. All pixel manipulation runs on a canvas in your browser.
