How fairness works

Enter everyone in the household and your chores with their frequency. Daily chores rotate across days and people, weekly chores are dealt round-robin with the deal rotating each week, and monthly chores land on the week's first day.

Change the week-start date to preview next week's rotation; the anchor keeps the cycle fair over time.

Making it stick

Print the schedule and put it on the fridge: visible charts beat group chats. Keep the chore list short and concrete (Vacuum living room beats Clean house), and re-deal monthly so nobody gets stuck with the worst job forever.

Copy the schedule as text to share it in your family chat.

Chore Schedule Maker FAQs

How does the rotation stay fair?
Assignments use round-robin dealing offset by the week number, so over consecutive weeks each person cycles through each chore. Daily chores additionally rotate by day of week.
What is the week-start date for?
It anchors the rotation. Pick any date and the schedule deals chores from that week onward; change it to preview how assignments shift next week.
Can I have different frequencies per chore?
Yes. Each chore is marked daily, weekly or monthly. Daily chores appear every day with rotating owners, weekly ones are assigned once per week, monthly ones on the first day.
How do I share the schedule?
Press Copy as text for a chat-friendly version, or Print for a paper chart. The print stylesheet outputs only the schedule table.
Is my household data uploaded?
No. Names and chores are processed in your browser only. Nothing is stored on any server.
