Convert your AVIF images to JPEG directly in the browser. Adjust the quality, preview the result and download. Nothing is uploaded.
Your image
Pick an AVIF file, set the quality, download the JPG.
The file is read locally. Nothing is uploaded.
Higher quality means a bigger file. 80 to 90 is a good balance for the web.

How it works
Pick an .avif file. The browser decodes it into an image, draws it onto a canvas over a white background (JPEG has no transparency), and exports it as JPEG at the quality you chose. The download gets the same file name with a .jpg extension.
Conversion tips
Quality 80-90: best balance of size and detail for uploads.
Quality 95-100: use when you plan to edit or print the JPG.
Transparency: transparent areas become white, since JPEG cannot store transparency.
Decode errors: if your browser cannot open AVIF, update it or try Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
AVIF is a modern image format based on the AV1 video codec. It produces much smaller files than JPEG at similar quality, but older software and websites do not always support it yet.
Why convert AVIF to JPG instead of keeping AVIF?
JPEG works almost everywhere: older phones, email clients, print shops, CMS uploads and social platforms that reject AVIF. Convert when compatibility matters more than the smaller file size.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion happens entirely in your browser with the Canvas API. Your image never leaves your device.
What JPEG quality should I choose?
90 gives near-original quality at a moderate size. 80 is a good balance for web uploads, and 95 is best when you plan to edit or print the JPEG further.
Why does it say my browser cannot decode AVIF?
AVIF decoding depends on the browser. Chrome, Edge, Opera and Firefox 113 and newer support it, and Safari added support in version 16.4. Update your browser or try a different one.
