How responsive embeds work

A wrapper div with padding-bottom: 56.25% keeps the 16:9 ratio at any width, because vertical padding percentages resolve against the element width. The iframe fills it absolutely. This aspect-ratio box technique works in every browser, no container queries needed.

Autoplay rules and muted playback

It loads the player from youtube-nocookie.com, which does not set tracking cookies until the visitor plays the video. Use it on EU sites to reduce cookie-consent headaches.
Can I hide the YouTube logo and title?
YouTube removed most branding controls; the logo and title now always show on hover. rel=0 limits end-screen suggestions to your own channel instead of hiding them entirely.
Why is my embed not responsive?
You probably pasted a fixed width and height iframe. The wrapper technique in the generated code makes the player fluid. Replace the whole snippet, not just the src.
Do embeds count as views?
Yes, embedded plays count toward the public view count when the video actually plays. Autoplay-muted embeds count too, subject to YouTube's normal view validation.
Can I start the video at a specific time?
Yes, set the start field to seconds. The embed URL carries a start parameter, and you can add end the same way by editing the code if you need a clipped segment.
