How the conversion works

Paste your XML on the left and press Convert. The tool first parses the XML (treating each child of the root element as a row, keeping attributes as @-prefixed columns) into an internal table of rows and columns, then writes it out as HTML Table (generating and markup with escaped text). If the input cannot be parsed you get a plain-English error instead of a broken file.

Where this comes in handy

People reach for this converter when pulling records out of XML feeds, sitemaps or API responses and an embeddable web table is needed. Because everything runs locally in your browser, it is also handy for quick one-off migrations without installing database tools or writing throwaway scripts.

XML to HTML Table FAQs

Does it handle nested XML structures?
One level of nesting is flattened: every child element of the root becomes a row. Deeper structures are serialized as text inside their cell so nothing silently disappears.
Are XML attributes included in the output?
Yes. Attributes are exported as columns prefixed with @, so sku becomes @sku, alongside child elements like name and price.
What markup is generated?
A complete <table> with a <thead> header row and a <tbody> of data rows, using th and td cells. All text is HTML-escaped.
Can I paste the output straight into a web page?
Yes. Copy the markup into your HTML; bring your own CSS since no styling classes are included.
Is this converter free to use?
Yes. It is completely free with no sign-up, no watermarks and no usage caps.
