How transforms combine

The output chains four transform functions in a fixed order: rotate, then scale, then skew, then translate. Order matters in CSS transforms, so the preview always matches the copied code exactly. Drag any slider and both update in the same frame.

When to use each transform

Rotate tilts elements for playful cards and badges. Scale grows hover states without reflowing layout. Skew slants buttons and banners for an energetic look. Translate nudges elements for slide-in animations and fine positioning.

Transform Generator FAQs

Why does the element move when I rotate it?
Rotation happens around the element's center by default, so corners swing outward. If you need it to pivot from a corner, add transform-origin to your CSS after copying.
Does transform affect page layout?
No. Transformed elements keep their original layout footprint; the visual change does not push siblings around. That makes transforms ideal for animations.
Can I animate between two transforms?
Yes. Copy the code for both states and put them on the normal and :hover rules (or keyframes), then add a transition on transform for smooth motion.
Why do my transforms look blurry?
Non-integer translations and scales can land elements on half pixels. Rounding translate values to whole pixels usually sharpens rendering.
Is 3D supported?
This tool covers 2D transforms, which handle the vast majority of UI effects. For 3D flips and perspective you would write rotateX/rotateY manually.
