Combine files your way

Add as many text-based files as you like: notes, logs, CSV exports, markdown chapters, or source code. Arrange them with the up and down buttons, choose how they are separated, and optionally stamp each part with its filename.

The merged preview shows the full result before you download, so you can verify the order and separators are right.

Separators and headers

A blank line keeps things simple, while the horizontal rule style visibly marks where each file begins. Filename headers make the merged document self-documenting, which is handy when combining logs or code modules.

Custom separator text supports anything you type, such as chapter markers for an ebook manuscript.

Text File Merger FAQs

Which file types can I merge?
Any text-based file: TXT, MD, CSV, LOG, JSON, XML, HTML, CSS, JS, and similar. Binary files like PDFs or images cannot be merged as text.
Is there a limit on file count or size?
No hard limit, but very large files (tens of MB) may slow down older devices since everything is read into memory.
Can I change the order after adding files?
Yes. Use the Up and Down buttons on each row, or remove a file entirely, then press Merge files again.
Will the original files be modified?
No. Merging only reads them; your originals stay untouched on your device.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Files are read locally with the FileReader API and never leave your browser.
