How the compilation works

The compiler strips comments, collects $variable definitions, then walks nested blocks while tracking the selector stack. Each declaration is emitted against its fully resolved selector, with & replaced by the parent, so .card { &:hover } correctly becomes .card:hover.

When a browser compiler helps

Quick prototypes, email templates and CMS custom CSS fields often cannot run a Sass build. Compiling a nested snippet here gives you paste-ready CSS in seconds, and variables let you theme the snippet before flattening it.

SCSS to CSS FAQs

Are @mixin and @include supported?
No. This compiler handles nesting, variables, the parent selector and media queries. Mixins, functions, extends and imports need a full Sass compiler like Dart Sass.
How do variables work?
Define $brand: #7c3aed; at the top, then use $brand anywhere a value goes. All definitions are substituted before the CSS is emitted, and undefined variables are left as written.
What about nested @media?
Media queries nested inside a selector are hoisted correctly: the inner rules are compiled with their resolved selectors and wrapped back in the @media block.
Can it handle deep nesting?
Yes, nesting of any depth is flattened by combining each level. Very deep nesting still produces valid CSS, though flatter selectors perform better in browsers.
Is my SCSS uploaded?
No. Compilation runs entirely in your browser, so your stylesheets never leave your device.
