How line reversal works

The text is split on every newline, the list of lines is reversed, and they are joined back with newlines. Empty lines and trailing newlines keep their positions relative to the reversal.

Common uses

Reversing chronological logs so the newest entries appear first, flipping countdown or ranking lists, and reordering any line-based data without a spreadsheet.

Reverse Line Order FAQs

Does it reverse the characters in each line?
No. Each line keeps its own text unchanged; only the order of the lines is flipped. To reverse characters too, you would need a different operation.
What happens to empty lines?
Empty lines are treated as lines like any other, so they move with the reversal and blank-line spacing is mirrored.
Does it work on numbered lists?
Yes, but the numbers stay attached to their original lines. A list numbered 1 to 5 will read 5 to 1 from top to bottom after reversing.
Is there a line limit?
No. Paste thousands of lines; the reversal runs instantly in your browser.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you paste ever leaves your device.
