What gets removed

Full http and https URLs with paths, query strings, and fragments, plus bare www addresses. The surrounding sentence keeps its words and spacing, with leftover double spaces collapsed.

Why strip URLs

Removing links cleans text for word counts, anonymizes shared content, and prepares prose for print or analysis where clickable links are just noise.

Remove URLs FAQs

Does it remove https links?
Yes. Any URL starting with http:// or https:// is removed, including paths, query parameters, and fragments.
What about bare www addresses?
Those are removed too, for example www.example.com/page disappears along with full http links.
Does it remove email addresses?
No. Email addresses are not URLs, so they stay. Use the Extract Emails tool if you need to work with addresses separately.
Will it leave double spaces?
No. When a URL sits between words, the extra gap is collapsed to a single space so sentences read naturally.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you paste ever leaves your device.
