How tag stripping works

Everything between angle brackets is deleted, including attributes, comments, and self-closing tags. The text between the tags is preserved in order, so a paragraph keeps its words exactly as a reader would see them.

Does it remove attributes too?
Yes. The entire tag including all attributes is removed, so <a href=...> becomes nothing and only the link text remains.
What about HTML comments?
Comments are removed like any other tag content between angle brackets, so they never leak into your plain text.
Does it decode entities like &amp;?
No. Entities are not tags, so &amp; stays as &amp;. The tool only strips tag markup and leaves entities untouched.
Will line breaks be preserved?
Existing line breaks in the source are kept. Block tags do not add new breaks, so you may want to tidy spacing for long documents.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you paste ever leaves your device.
