How PascalCase works

PascalCase is like camelCase except the first word is also capitalized: every word starts with an uppercase letter and words join with no spaces. hello world example becomes HelloWorldExample. It is the standard for class names in Java, C#, Python, and TypeScript.

Handles any input format

The converter splits snake_case, kebab-case, spaces, and mixed input on word boundaries, including boundaries inside existing camelCase. All-caps acronyms are normalized so HTML parser becomes HtmlParser, matching common style guides.

Pascal Case FAQs

What is PascalCase used for?
PascalCase names classes, interfaces, components, and types: UserAccount, PaymentProcessor, or ProductCard. Most style guides require it for anything that is instantiated with new or rendered as a component.
What is the difference between PascalCase and camelCase?
Both join words without spaces, but PascalCase capitalizes the first word too. helloWorld is camelCase, HelloWorld is PascalCase. Variables use camelCase, classes use PascalCase.
How do I convert snake_case to PascalCase?
Paste the text in. Underscores, hyphens, and spaces are detected as word separators automatically, so user_account_status becomes UserAccountStatus.
Are the results valid class names?
Yes for typical input. Letters and digits are kept in order; spaces and punctuation used as separators are removed, leaving a clean alphanumeric identifier.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you paste ever leaves your device.
