Keto macro calculator

A ketogenic diet keeps carbs very low so the body burns fat for fuel. Set your calories and weight to get daily protein, net carb, and fat gram targets that keep you in ketosis.

Protein first, fat fills the rest

Protein is set from body weight, 1.6 to 2.2 g per kg, because it protects muscle during fat loss. Carbs stay at your chosen cap, usually 20 to 30 g. Fat simply fills the remaining calories, which is why it is a limit to stay under, not a goal to hit.

Net carbs matter most

Net carbs means total carbs minus fiber, since fiber does not raise blood sugar much. Leafy greens, nuts, and avocados fit easily; one sugary drink can blow the whole day's budget.

Keto Macro Calc FAQs

How many carbs keep me in ketosis?
Most people stay in ketosis under 20 to 30 g of net carbs per day. Very active or larger people sometimes tolerate up to 50 g.
Is fat a goal or a limit on keto?
A limit. Eat fat to satiety within your calorie target; forcing extra fat just slows fat loss. Protein is the macro to hit.
Why did my weight stall on keto?
Usually calories crept up via cheese, nuts, and oils, or carbs drifted over the limit. Track strictly for a week to find the leak.
Do I need to count calories on keto?
For the first weeks, no; appetite drops naturally. For continued fat loss after the easy pounds, yes, calories still decide the outcome.
What are keto flu symptoms?
Headache, fatigue, and cramps in week one come from water and electrolyte loss. Salt your food, drink water, and add magnesium and potassium.
