How it works

Paste your JSON on the left and type a JSONPath query: start with $, use .key for object properties, [0] for array indexes, [*] to grab every item, and ["key"] for keys with spaces. Press Run query and every matched value appears in the result box, one per line, with a count of how many matched.

Reading the results

Simple values print as-is; objects and arrays print as compact JSON. If nothing matches, the count says 0, which usually means a key is misspelled or an index is out of range. Fix the path and run it again: evaluation is instant.

JSON Path Tester FAQs

What is JSONPath?
A query language for JSON, like XPath is for XML. $.store.book[0].title means: from the root, go into store, then book, take the first item, and read its title.
How do I get all items in an array?
Use [*] as the index. For example, $.store.book[*].title returns every book title, one per line.
Can I query keys with spaces?
Yes. Use bracket notation with quotes, like $["my key"], instead of dot notation.
Does it support filters like [?(@.price<10)]?
No. This tester supports keys, indexes, negative indexes and wildcards only, which covers the most common queries.
Is my JSON uploaded anywhere?
No. Parsing and querying happen entirely in your browser.
