How it works

Paste your JSON-LD (with or without the script tags) and press Validate. The tool checks that the JSON parses, that @context references schema.org, that @type is present, and that the recommended properties for common types (Article, Product, FAQPage, Event, Recipe and more) are filled in. Results show as PASS, FAIL or WARN lines with a summary count.

What it does not do

This is a structural checker, not Google's Rich Results Test. It cannot tell you whether Google will actually show rich results for your page, and it does not fetch your URL. For the final verdict on eligibility, test the live page in Google's own tool after this passes.

JSON-LD Validator FAQs

What is JSON-LD?
A way to embed structured data (schema.org markup) in a web page using a JSON script block, helping search engines understand your content for rich results.
What is the difference between FAIL and WARN?
FAIL means something required is broken or missing, like invalid JSON or no @type. WARN means valid markup that is missing a recommended property.
Does passing guarantee rich results on Google?
No. Valid markup is required but Google decides eligibility separately. Use Google's Rich Results Test on the live page for the final check.
Can I validate multiple items at once?
Yes. Arrays and @graph blocks are supported; each item is checked and reported separately.
Is my markup uploaded anywhere?
No. Validation runs entirely in your browser.
