Convert any IPv4 address to IPv6 notation: the standard ::ffff: mapped form, the fully expanded 8-group form, plus the decimal and hex-word values. Useful for dual-stack socket code, logs and firewall rules.

An IPv4-mapped IPv6 address embeds a 32-bit IPv4 address in the last 32 bits of a 128-bit IPv6 address, prefixed with ::ffff:. The full expanded form pads every group to four hex digits, for example 0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:ffff:c000:0201. This tool shows the mapped, expanded, decimal and hex-word forms together.
Mapped addresses let dual-stack software handle IPv4 clients through IPv6 sockets: the OS translates ::ffff:192.0.2.1 back to 192.0.2.1 automatically. You will see them in server logs, firewall rules and socket APIs whenever a program listens on an IPv6 socket but accepts IPv4 connections.
