What gets extracted

Every anchor tag with an href is pulled from your HTML, including its visible anchor text, the destination URL, and whether the link points to an external site or stays internal. Javascript links and empty anchors are skipped automatically.

Use the filters to show only external links when auditing outbound references, or only internal links when checking site navigation.

Working with the results

The results table shows anchor text truncated for readability while the full URL stays intact and selectable. One click copies everything as CSV, ready to paste into a spreadsheet for link audits or broken-link checks.

Because parsing happens with the browser's own HTML parser, malformed markup is handled the same way a browser would handle it.

Link Extractor FAQs

Can it extract links from a live URL?
Not directly. Paste the page source instead: open the page, view source, copy it, and paste it here. Fetching arbitrary URLs from a browser page is blocked by CORS.
How does it decide internal vs external?
Any URL starting with http:// or https:// counts as external. Relative paths, anchors, and protocol-relative links count as internal.
Why are some links missing?
Links created by JavaScript after page load are not in the static HTML source. The tool only sees the markup you paste.
Does it find links in other tags?
It focuses on anchor tags, which is where clickable links live. Image sources and script URLs are not included.
Is the pasted HTML uploaded anywhere?
No. Parsing runs entirely in your browser, so the source code you paste stays on your device.
