How it works

Paste hashtags in any messy state: with or without the # sign, separated by commas, spaces or new lines. The tool strips invalid characters, adds the # where missing, removes duplicates, normalizes the case, and joins everything with your chosen separator: spaces for captions, new lines for comment blocks, commas for lists.

Hashtag hygiene

Do I need to include the # sign?
No. The tool adds it automatically to every tag that is missing one, and leaves existing ones alone.
How are duplicates detected?
Case-insensitively, so #Travel and #travel count as the same tag and only one survives when dedupe is on.
Which separator should I choose?
Spaces for pasting into captions, new lines for a tidy block in the first comment, commas for spreadsheets or notes.
Are special characters allowed in hashtags?
No. Hashtags only support letters, numbers and underscores, so anything else is stripped automatically.
