How flipped text works

Each character is replaced with a Unicode lookalike that resembles it rotated 180 degrees, then the whole string is reversed so it reads in the correct order when viewed upside down. Letters, digits, and common punctuation all have flipped equivalents.

Where flipped text works

Because it uses real Unicode characters, flipped text pastes into social bios, comments, chat apps, and anywhere plain text is accepted. Some characters have no flipped form and are kept as-is.

Flip Text Upside Down FAQs

Will flipped text work on social media?
Yes. It is plain Unicode text, so it pastes into bios, captions, and comments on most platforms exactly as you see it here.
Why do some characters stay normal?
A few characters have no widely supported upside-down equivalent, so the tool keeps the original rather than substituting something unreadable.
Can I flip it back to normal?
Yes. Pasting flipped text back through the tool flips most characters back, though a few approximations may not round-trip perfectly.
Does it work on long paragraphs?
Yes. There is no length limit; whole paragraphs flip in one pass.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you paste ever leaves your device.
