How to study with flashcards

Write a prompt on the front and the answer on the back, then work through the deck in study mode: read the question, try to recall the answer out loud, and tap to flip and check. This active recall beats re-reading notes because it trains retrieval, which is what exams actually test. Shuffle the deck so you learn the material, not the order.

Your deck is auto-saved

Every card you add is stored in your browser's local storage instantly. Close the tab, come back tomorrow, and your deck is exactly where you left it. No account needed, and nothing is ever uploaded.

Flashcard Maker FAQs

How many cards can I make?
As many as you need. Decks of a few dozen cards study best in one sitting; for big subjects, make several themed decks.
What makes a good flashcard?
One idea per card, phrased as a question. Avoid cards with two answers or long paragraphs on the back; split them into smaller cards instead.
Is there spaced repetition?
Not automatic scheduling. The shuffle button randomizes order, and regular self-testing across days gives you most of the benefit.
Where are my cards stored?
In your browser's local storage on this device. They persist between visits but do not sync to other devices.
Can I export my deck?
There is no export button yet; your deck lives in this browser. Copying cards from the deck list below is the quickest manual route.
