How fake data is made

Each value is randomly assembled from built-in pools of first names, last names, companies, streets and cities, so output looks realistic but describes nobody. Emails use example.com and phone numbers use the fictional 555-free format, keeping everything safely unusable in the real world.

Formats for every workflow

One-per-line pastes into forms and test scripts, CSV drops into spreadsheets and databases, and the JSON array feeds APIs and seed files directly. Generate up to 200 values per click.

Fake Data Generator FAQs

Is any of this data real?
No. Names are random combinations, emails use the reserved example.com domain, and addresses mix real street patterns with made-up numbers. It is realistic-looking but fictitious by construction.
Can I use fake emails for sign-up testing?
For format validation, yes. They will not receive mail since example.com is reserved, which also means you cannot test actual delivery with them.
How is this different from the sample dataset generator?
That tool builds multi-column CSV/JSON tables for database seeding. This one generates single-column lists of one data type, ideal for filling forms and unit tests.
Can I get the same data twice?
No, generation is random every click with no seed option. Copy anything you need to keep before generating again.
Is 200 values enough for load testing?
For UI and form tests, yes. For serious load testing, generate several batches or script the pattern in your own code using these pools as a template.
