Mentions, not emails

A mention must start at a word boundary, so the @ inside email addresses is ignored. Only standalone @handles like @username are extracted, with trailing dots trimmed.

Dedupe for shout-out lists

Comment threads mention the same people repeatedly. Dedupe collapses repeats so you get the unique set of mentioned accounts for giveaways or outreach.

Extract Mentions FAQs

Does it skip email addresses?
Yes. Because emails have a word character before the @, they are not treated as mentions. Only standalone @handles are extracted.
What characters can a mention contain?
Letters, digits, underscores, and dots, in any script. Trailing dots are trimmed so @user. becomes @user.
Does it include the @ symbol?
Yes. Results keep the leading @, ready to paste back into a post or comment.
Can I list everyone mentioned in a thread?
Yes. Paste the whole thread; every @handle is found and dedupe gives you each person once.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you paste ever leaves your device.
