Validated IPv4 matching

IPv4 candidates are checked octet by octet, so 999.1.1.1 is rejected while 192.168.1.1 passes. This avoids false positives from version numbers and other dotted digit groups.

IPv6 support

Compressed forms like ::1 and fe80::1 are detected alongside full addresses, making the tool useful for modern server logs that mix both protocols.

Extract IPs FAQs

Does it validate IPv4 addresses?
Yes. Each octet must be 0 to 255, so invalid quads like 999.10.0.1 are skipped instead of listed.
Does it find IPv6 addresses?
Yes, including compressed forms like ::1 and fe80::a634:d7ff:fe00:1. Full and shortened notation are both detected.
Can I scan server logs?
Yes. Paste the log; every IP-shaped token is extracted in order, and dedupe gives you the unique set of addresses that appeared.
Does it extract ports too?
No. Only the address part is extracted; a trailing :8080 is left out of the match so you get clean addresses.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you paste ever leaves your device.
