The VEVENT format

The QR holds a standard iCalendar VEVENT block, the same format calendar apps use for invites. When scanned, the phone offers to save it with title, times, location, and notes pre-filled, no typing needed.

Where to use it

Print on invitations, conference badges, posters, and tickets. Guests scan once and the event lands in their calendar with a reminder, cutting no-shows.

Event QR FAQs

Which calendar apps accept this?
Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, and Samsung Calendar all recognize VEVENT QR codes on modern phones.
Are times in my timezone?
Times are stored as floating local time, so the event appears at the same wall-clock time on any phone. Mention the timezone in the description for travelers.
Can I include an online meeting link?
Yes. Paste the meeting URL into the description field and it will be saved with the event.
What if the event details change?
Generate a new QR. The code is static text, so it cannot update after printing; reprint the corrected version.
Is my event data uploaded?
No. The VEVENT text is built and encoded entirely in your browser.
