Switch CSV to TSV or TSV to CSV instantly. Quoted fields, embedded tabs, and line breaks are handled correctly.
Paste CSV or TSV. The format is detected from the first line.
CSV breaks when your data itself contains commas, which is common in addresses and descriptions. TSV uses tabs instead, so commas inside fields need no special treatment and the file stays readable.
Some tools and locales prefer one over the other: Excel in certain regions expects semicolons or tabs, while most web APIs speak comma CSV.
The converter parses quoted fields properly before re-joining with the new delimiter, so a comma inside quotes never splits a column by mistake. Fields that need quoting in the target format are quoted automatically.
Format detection looks at the first line: more tabs than commas means TSV, otherwise CSV.
